Roosevelt serves as the Graphic Art Communications Instructor at Lawson State Community College, where he has been faithfully shaping and inspiring students since September 2007. With a genuine passion for both teaching and creativity, he encourages his students to pursue excellence in their academic and artistic journeys.

For five consecutive years, Lawson State Graphic Art students have earned first-place honors in the national Koronisfest competition at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, excelling in PSA poster design, live action, and animation. This impactful competition focuses on raising awareness around important public health issues.

Roosevelt’s dedication to education and innovation has also been recognized through the Alabama Community College System’s Award of Excellence, which he received in both 2012 and 2024. He continues to expand his expertise, holding certifications in Dremel 3D Printing, as well as completion credentials in ChatGPT and MidJourney—tools he actively integrates into his teaching to prepare students for the future of creative industries.
